Female entrepreneurs play a key role in the fight against poverty and in advancing the development of the regions in which they operate. Therefore, the Bayer Foundation's Women Empowerment Award aims to help female entrepreneurs and their social enterprises generate social impact in the Global South (Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, and Asia Pacific). This year, we celebrated our winners for the Asia Pacific track: Akshita Sachdeva, Ayesha Zulfiqar, Divya Munot, Fariel Salahuddin, and Tiffany Tong at the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) annual conference in Kuala Lumpur. These female entrepreneurs drive social change through their innovative health, nutrition, and agricultural solutions.
